Open-top and out-of-gauge containers

Cargo profile

Every load has different requirements

For heavy lift, oversized cargo and special bulk or project traffic we combine our rail and sea network with suitable partner services.

  1. BESS & technical installations

For battery storage, system design, battery type, capacity, condition and technical documents help. From this we agree the required review with the intended partners. Acceptance is only confirmed after the specific unit has been checked.

  2. Heavy lift & rolling stock

For trams, machinery and heavy components, weight, centre of gravity, bearing surfaces and suitable lifting and lashing points matter as much as dimensions. Photos and drawings make it easier to agree handling and routing.

  3. Open top, out of gauge & bulk

Open top describes an equipment type; out of gauge refers to cargo exceeding the permitted loading profile. Depending on dimensions we check suitable special equipment or a different loading method. For bulk requests we also need details on material and packaging.

From cargo profile to transport concept

First we capture the cargo data. Then we agree equipment, handling and possible transport legs with the partners involved. The quotation defines scope, handovers and prerequisites; only then do booking and operational coordination follow.
